There are several ways to get to and from the airport. Which option will depend upon your final destination, budget and personal preferences.

The C6 service from the airport stops at the Tram/train stops Mercardo and Lucero. From here passengers can access the full regional train and tram services that cover much of the Costa Blanca.

Alicante airport has an official taxi service (and numerous unofficial ones!). The official company is Radio Taxi Elche. They publish their fares and operate an information desk within the airport.
They are easily recognisable by their distinctive green stripe.
The information desk is open from 9am until 1am. You can also contact online at radiotaxielche.es or by phone 965 427 777. If you have a complaint it is advisable to have a receipt (ask the driver) - you can then make a complaint via email email@example.com.
Taxi drivers will charge 4 EUR surcharge for airport passengers. There are minimum fares and two different rates, the lower one Mon to Friday during normal working hours and the higher rate for trips outside of these times.
The following are published fares for typical destinations at the time of writing. But be warned - this writer has yet to pay a published fare! Road tolls will also increase the fare.
If you at all unsure ASK. The driver will tell you the fare before you get in. If you are feeling organised you can even book and pay in advance and take advatage of their pre booking discount. Ring or look on the website above.

A number of companies provide transfer services - taking you to your destination - often for a reasonable price. These will need to be booked in advance. The cost of the transfer per person may work out significantly cheaper than the cost of a taxi.
Transfer companies will provide cars, minibuses and coaches depending upon the number of people and the popularity of the destination. You can opt for private transfer - just you and your companions in a car or you can opt to share the ride in a shuttle bus (usually cheaper).
