Suspicious Item Causes Security Alert

Ryanair flight FR8297 from Alicante to Bristol was found to contain a written bomb threat. The ensuing security alert caused delays and disruption at Bristol airport.

Edinburgh Jet2 Switches to Alicante Airport

Jet2.com flights from Edinburgh will no longer fly to San Javier (Murcia) but to Alicante airport instead. The change starts from November 2015. Additional flights will operate from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Alicante.

Benidorm To Get British Bobbies

In an agreement similar to one operating in Magaluf, British police officers will patrol Benidorm's streets in an effort to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

Mobility Scooter Users Fined

Police are handing out fines to rogue scooter users in Benidorm. The Daily Mirror reports that up to 500 a day can be found on the streets of the holiday town. Problems have included boozy drivers and "boy racers"!
